RESPECT! That is what women deserve in the sneaker community so my goal is for you to meet some of these women via my blog so you can get an understanding on how they feel. There are 3 major questions that come to mind for this topic:
What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
Who else is better to learn from then the women within the community? Today we will hear from Kiara, a mom with a dope sneaker collection! Let’s see what respect female sneakerheads means to her!

What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
Respecting female sneakerheads, for me, means truly making and protecting the spaces and voices of women in sneakers. Whether we design them, we collect them, we wear em… the voice and stories of women in the sneaker community deserve to be heard. Respecting the women, who breathe life into sneakers and all things sneakers, helps to cultivate the growth so many of us need in these circles.
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
One woman I look up to in the sneaker community is @keiakodama. Keia’s ability to manipulate and create from anything is so inspiring to me. She is truly herself in anything she’s wearing, and really puts on for the ladies rocking sneakers in every which way! I love her love for sneakers, community, and creating in so many ways.
If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
So many things about the perception and treatment in the sneaker community has to change. Firstly, it’s seeing us as lovers of sneakers too. We’re not into it because of some trend or some dude putting us on, we’re in it because it’s what speaks to us. The sexist commentary, the pop-quizzes, the exclusion and unnecessary hate towards anything with women/female attributed to it is washed and corny. They need to give us our credit and our platform lined with the flowers we deserve.

Hearing these words from different women in the sneaker community is so inspiring! Each lady brings a different view point and perspective. Kiara hits on a good point, the treatment and perception needs to change when it comes to women who love sneakers! I hope my blog can help give more women the voice they deserve and to be seen in a way they deserve!
