RESPECT! That is what women deserve in the sneaker community so my goal is for you to meet some of these women via my blog so you can get an understanding on how they feel. There are 3 major questions that come to mind for this topic:

If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?

What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
Respect Female sneaker heads means that there are other that exist like me and we deserve to be seen. We deserve the same opportunity as guys in this space. It’s so easy to be crowded over by a ton of guys in this industry but the female sneaker heads? We tight like family. Honestly being around and connected with other female sneaker heads helped me get through Covid lockdown. We tapped in and really held each other down. This is representation to the fullest of how female sneaker heads show up and it deserves full showcase and respect. So respect we come with the knowledge and stop tryna test us here and there like we ain’t been here.
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
Man it’s so many! It’s hard to pick one but if I had to it would def be Jazerai. They are just a force!! They have really set the blueprint of what it looks like when you really respect everything a female sneakerhead can bring to the table. She eats and always looks to connect with others.
If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
I would change the weird test guys give us. Lol it’s like we gotta show who we are to get respect we deserve where if they walk in with some jordan 1s or some Travis Scott’s it’s automatically thought they in the game. I know women whose collections legit would beat about 90% of guys and whose knowledge is unmatched. Stop the tests and just let us in, we know what we are doing.
Hearing these words from different women in the sneaker community is so inspiring! Each lady brings a different view point and perspective. Brit hits on a good point, stop with the weird test, we know what we are doing and we have proven that! I hope my blog can help give more women the voice they deserve and to be seen in a way they deserve!
