RESPECT! That is what women deserve in the sneaker community so my goal is for you to meet some of these women via my blog so you can get an understanding on how they feel. There are 3 major questions that come to mind for this topic:
What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
Who else is better to learn from then the women within the community? Today we will hear from Keilissa, let’s see what respect female sneakerheads means to her!

What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
To me respect female sneakerheads means not looking down on females in the sneaker game. Females are often over looked because we wear smaller sizes. People, especially men, tell us that our collections are only big due to the fact are feet are smaller and we wear grade school; little do they know we struggle getting shoes we really want and the quality control is the worst.
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
One woman in sneakers I look up to is @imsimplyb I love seeing women especially women of colour that love to collect sneakers. She’s such an inspiration.
If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
If I could change one thing about how women are treated in the sneaker community it would be the resell culture that is revolving around smaller sizes. I never understood why smaller sizes which is made with lower quality materials cost more then the men’s sizes. I would also like to see more female representation in the making of women releases.

Hearing these words from different women in the sneaker community is so inspiring! Each lady brings a different view point and perspective. Keilissa definitely hit on a good point, its no secret how small sizes are treated in the sneaker world. Often times it’s not fair across the board and smaller sizes are left out or deal with quality that isn’t the best. I hope my blog can help give more women the voice they deserve and to be seen in a way they deserve!
