RESPECT! That is what women deserve in the sneaker community so my goal is for you to meet some of these women via my blog so you can get an understanding on how they feel. There are 3 major questions that come to mind for this topic:
What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
Who else is better to learn from then the women within the community? Today we will hear from Heather K also known as @heathhhyk ! Let’s see what respect female sneakerheads means to her!

What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
It means to show love, support and respect. There’s nothing I love more than seeing brands partnering with women in the sneaker community sharing their stories and giving them the exposure and respect they deserve. Let’s see more of that.
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
There are so many incredible women in the sneaker community it’s tough to choose just one who inspires me.
Keia Kodama – The love for creating that Keia shares with all of us is inspiring. From floral swooshes, custom sneakers to impactful tees – I am continuously in awe of her creativity and excited to see what’s next. She encourages me to try new things, keep doing what I love and always do it with heart.
TJ Keasal – Her love for sneakers is like no other but she is so much more than that. From her fresh fits to educating young adults how to budget their income – it’s a fresh approach to sneaker content. She is someone that is so passionate about what she does and you can’t help but be inspired by her.
Dee Wardz – I started creating content around sneakers because of Dee. Her page inspired me to start my own. Her photography, creativity and overall vibe is contagious in the best way.
I’ve met so many amazing women through sneakers, who are now friends, that inspire me to create and think outside of the box. Shoutout to all the dope women out there, keep being amazing!
If you could change one thing about how women are perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
When it comes to sneakers we don’t want color ranges limited to pinks and pastels… we want the same colorways in true women’s sizes. Brands sometimes miss the mark on what women really want when it comes to sneakers. I’d love to see brands releasing sneakers in a full size run for drops. Where is my small feet crew at?

Hearing these words from different women in the sneaker community is so inspiring! Each lady brings a different view point and perspective. Heather definitely hit on a good point about brands missing the mark sometimes especially when it comes to what women truly want. I hope my blog can help give more women the voice they deserve and to be seen in a way they deserve!
