RESPECT! That is what women deserve in the sneaker community so my goal is for you to meet some of these women via my blog so you can get an understanding on how they feel. There are 3 major questions that come to mind for this topic:
What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
Who else is better to learn from then the women within the community? Today we will hear from Lavina, also know as @soooowavy_on IG. Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
One woman in the sneaker community that I look up to is Melissa Chanel. Melissa is a CONTENT CREATOR & SNEAKER LOVER who also provides a space for female sneakHERheads, sneakHER lovers, sneakHER collectors, sneakHER enthusiasts and more to share their creative styles, while also including their sneakers. If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
If I could change one thing about how women are perceived in the sneaker community it would be that women are just as dope as men. We ALL have the same sneakers, but we ALL do not style them the same. ALL women do not wear heels. For my female sneakHERheads, sneakHER lovers, sneakHER collectors, sneakHER enthusiasts or however you address yourself, wear what tf you want to wear! It’s time for men to make space for dope women at the table. WE HAVE THE BLUEPRINT!
Hearing these words from different women in the sneaker community is so inspiring! Each lady brings a different view point and perspective. Lavina the fact that all of us have the same shoes but we all style them differently and men have no choice but to make space for us in the sneaker community. I hope my blog can help give more women the voice they deserve and to be seen in a way they deserve!
