RESPECT! That is what women deserve in the sneaker community so my goal is for you to meet some of these women via my blog so you can get an understanding on how they feel. There are 3 major questions that come to mind for this topic:
What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?

What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
Great question Tay! Respect female sneakerheads means exactly what it says. Respect us, highlight us, give us credit on our innovative ideas, FRESH FITS and trends set, let us know we belong in the sneaker community, and serve as our allies. I get so much hate from MEN on my sneaker Instagram page about MY choice to wear sneakers over “heels/cute womanly sandals…” that it becomes very tiring and truly annoying. We must collectively work to change the narrative to become more inclusive of our interests and how we choose to express ourselves through footwear.
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
There are many women in the sneaker community that I look up to. Far too many to name and I don’t want to leave anyone out. What I will say is that most are your everyday baddies such as all my black and brown sole sistas on Instagram. Everyone’s style is unique; they all have great personalities, and they way we support each other with securing these pairs baybbeee is it AMAZING! I love us and so thankful for the camaraderie built.
If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
I wish people would stop assuming our sexual orientation and our knowledge (or lack of) when it comes to sneakers. Far too many times, we are unfairly stereotyped and labeled JUST BECAUSE WE WEAR SNEAKERS!!! Like c’mon now, they do know sneakers come in women’s sizing, right? Let it be known, we’re not tolerating this in 2022.
