Meet Brit

RESPECT! That is what women deserve in the sneaker community so my goal is for you to meet some of these women via my blog so you can get an understanding on how they feel. There are 3 major questions that come to mind for this topic:

What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?

Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?

If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?

Who else is better to learn from then the women within the community? Today we will hear from Brit, such a fly girly, outfits always on point!! Let’s see what Respect Female Sneakerheads means to her

1. What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?

Give women the same respect as men in the sneaker world.

2. Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?

I look up to Melissa Chanel because she created an entire brand, Kicks and Fros, to celebrate black women and the sneaker culture. As her brand expands, it shows me there’s no limit to what you can do if you believe in yourself and work for it.

3. If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?

Size inclusivity for the women who wear smaller sizes when most brands focus on designs that cater mainly to men’s sizing. Sometimes the people that actually would’ve helped a shoe sellout can’t purchase due to limited sizing. And if the shoe does come in smaller sizing (grade school), it should be the same quality as men’s sizing.

Hearing these words from different women in the sneaker community is so inspiring! Each lady brings a different view point and perspective. Brit makes a good point that a lot of women relate too, smaller sizes don’t get the same love; give them the same quality kicks the bigger sizes get!!
