RESPECT! That is what women deserve in the sneaker community so my goal is for you to meet some of these women via my blog so you can get an understanding on how they feel. There are 3 major questions that come to mind for this topic:
What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
Who else is better to learn from then the women within the community? Today we will hear from Sharmita, a mother and a boss who gives us so many good looks paired with different kicks; let’s see what respect female sneakerheads means to her!
1. What does respect female sneakerheads mean to you?
Admiring that, we as women need no validation of who we are. Even though we get labeled when we prefer sneakers over other types of shoes…WE PUT THEM ON ANYWAY…FORGET A LABEL!
2. Who is one woman in the sneaker community you look up to and why?
This one is hard , but I am a Mom who can’t afford to purchase all the sneakers I want. I have to say the Woman who sacrifices their love for sneakers for their family until she is able to get that one pair she saved up for! One day, that closet will be full, sis!
3. If you could change one thing about how women are treated and/or perceived in the sneaker community, what would it be?
Don’t assume we don’t know or are not educated on what we have on our feet. Females are great investigators. Before we buy, we research. We are not dumb sneakerheads. We are FEMALE SNEAKERHEADS… HEAR US ROAR🤣🤣
Hearing these words from different women in the sneaker community is so inspiring! Each lady brings a different view point and perspective. Sharmita made a good point, don’t assume anything about women in this space especially when it comes to what we know about the kicks on our feet!
